About Us

Medical Management Service of Nashville, Inc. (MMS) was founded by Bill Copeland in 1974 in Nashville, Tennessee. During our humble beginnings, Bill was a full time administrator to the largest internal medical group in the state, Frist-Scoville Medical Group, which was founded by Thomas Frist, Sr. who was also the co-founder of Hospital Corporation of America, now Columbia/HCA.

Current President and Owner, Louise Moore, started with MMS when it began in 1974 and quickly became co-owner with Bill only six years later. Louise, with her expertise in practice management, accounts receivables, physician mergers and accounting and Bill, with his proficiency in administration, complimented each other with their capacious knowledge and made a great team. They were best friends and co-owners of the company until Bill past away in 2005 of pancreatic cancer. Louise is now the sole owner of MMS and has truly been the operational foundation of MMS since its conception and still works hands on with each of her clients to this day.

We have been very fortunate to see our company grow over the past thirty-six years to the point that we now serve over 100 physicians and other healthcare providers at any given time. We have always been driven by our one main goal: to provide the highest quality service so that our clients benefit not only financially, but also through knowing that MMS is in the business of building and growing long-term relationships, which ultimately benefits both our clients and their patients alike. We are thankful to have had such quality clients as well as many other individuals who gave us help and support from day one.

Mrs. Moore and her golf enthusiastic husband, Jack, will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in April 2012. Their son David, a graduate of David Lipscomb University, has worked along side his mother in the company since 1995 and his high-school sweetheart wife, Katie, is the manager for MMS’ Columbia office. Louise and Jack have three beautiful grandchildren by David. Mrs. Moore’s daughter and avid soccer player, Lisa, has been inspired by her mother’s entrepreneurism and has been an independent, business development consultant since 2001 and now specializes in the integration of business operations and social media.
